Privacy Policy
Terrazzo does not have accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location, and we have no way to identify you.
The photo you choose
When you tap Redesign, the photo you selected is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to Google's Gemini image model to produce the redesign. The redesigned image is returned to your device immediately.
- We do not save your photo. It exists in our server's memory only for the few seconds the redesign takes, and is never written to storage.
- We do not use your photos to train any model.
- Google processes the image to generate the result. Google's handling is governed by the Gemini API terms. On the paid tier we use, submitted content is not used to improve Google's products.
If you report a design
Every result carries a Report this design link. If you use it, that redesign is sent to us and kept, so a person can look at it and improve the filters. That is the single exception to everything above, it only happens when you choose it, and the app tells you so before it sends. Nothing else about you is attached.
Shop this room
After a redesign you can tap Shop this room to see the furnishings the redesign added. When you do, the redesigned image — not your original photo — is sent to our server and on to Google's Gemini model, which returns a short list of the items it can see. As with redesigns, we do not save that image and it is not used to train any model. The list is shown on your device and is not stored.
If you tap a link, you leave Terrazzo for a retailer's website, and that retailer's own privacy policy applies from then on. The link contains only the search words for that item — we do not send the retailer anything about you or your installation. We may earn a commission on purchases made through these links, at no extra cost to you.
Your designs
Every design you create is stored on your device only. There is no cloud copy and no backup. Deleting the app deletes them. You can also remove them at any time from Settings → Delete all designs.
How we count your free designs
Without accounts, we still need to know how many designs an installation has used. The app creates a random identifier, combines it with a device identifier, and sends us a SHA-256 hash of the result. We store that hash and a number. We cannot reverse it into a device identifier, and it is not linked to you.
Usage data
We record which steps of the app are reached — a photo was chosen, a style was picked, a redesign succeeded or failed — along with the style name, how long it took and what it cost us to produce. This is how we know whether the app works and what it costs to run.
If you use Shop this room, we also record that it was opened, how many items were found, and the category of any item you tap and which retailer it opened — for example "lighting" and "Wayfair". We never record the image, the search words, or anything you do on the retailer's site.
These records are attached to the hashed installation identifier described above, never to you. They contain no photos and no image content.
Purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Play tells our server that a purchase is genuine, and we record that your installation has bought a design pack.
Children
Terrazzo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Because everything personal lives on your device, you are already in control:
- Delete your designs from Settings.
- Uninstalling the app removes every design and the identifier.
- To ask about, or request deletion of, the server-side record for an installation, email northhorizoncapital@gmail.com with the Install value from Settings → About.
AI-generated content
Designs are produced by an AI model. They are illustrations of a possible look, not architectural plans, and should not be relied on for construction or purchasing decisions.
Items listed by Shop this room describe what appears in a generated image. They are not real products, and a retailer search shows similar items, not the one pictured.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
